The 3rd International Music Olympiad took place at Klaipeda University in Lithuania. Students from nine countries (Czech Republic, Estonia, Cyprus, Croatia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia) came to Klaipeda this year. Over 3 days, young musicians presented their talent, knowledge, and musical skills in four different sections of the competition.

Participants were awarded with medals and diplomas in gold, silver or bronze. The best performer of a song, the best composer of an original composition and the contestant with the highest score in listening tasks were awarded special prizes.
The Olympiad was organized by the Lithuanian Ministry of Education and Science, Lithuanian Music Teachers’ Association and Klaipeda University, in cooperation with the European Association for Music in Schools.
