We are pleased to announce that the 10th annual Doctoral Student Forum for Music Education will be held in Padova, Italy. The forum takes place from Tuesday 9th (14.00) – Thursday 11th June (afternoon). It begins on the day prior to the main conference and participants will also be included in the main conference programme. In order to attain the DSF you have to register for the EAS conference.

EAS 2020: Call for Papers Deadline extended!
The deadline for the Call for Submissions for the annual EAS Conference in Padova 2020 is extended until January 15th, 2020.

EAS 2019: Conference Schedule Published
The complete schedule for the upcoming EAS conference in Malmö is published on the EAS Website. There you can find all important parts of the conference (exact beginning and end of the conference, opening ceremony, keynotes, general meeting, concert on Thursday evening, conference Dinner, closing ceremony etc) plus all presentations.
EAS Board Election 2019 in a Digital Format
In 2019, the EAS Board will be newly elected. The first time ever, the election will be done digitally with the online elction tool “Electionbuddy”. The elections opens on April 15, 12 am and ends on May 16, 6 pm, the day before the General Meeting at the EAS Conference in Malmö. Every member, who paid his membership fee for 2019, will receive an individual link and access code to vote. This gives the possibility to vote, even when you are not attending the EAS Conference.
8 candidates stand for election for 8 possible place in the board. You can choose up to 8 names to give your vote to at the election or choose abstention. If you want to know more about the candidates, please have a look at their CVs and statements: Overview EAS Board candidates. There will also be a “Meet the Candidates” during lunchtime at the EAS Conference 2019 in Malmö.
The results will be announced at the Gerenal Meeting in Malmö, on May 17, 2019. The elected Board will decide about the Chair and Vice-chair at their first Board meeting and announce the result at the Conference Dinner in Malmö.
So, please check your emails (maybe also SPAM folder) and vote for your favorite candidate(s)!
Open Call for EAS National Coordinators (NCs)
The EAS announces an open call, among its members, for the positions of the National Coordinator, for the year 2019, for the following countries (applications till 15th of January 2019): Bosnia, Bulgaria, Denmark, Malta, Romania, Russia and Cyprus.
EAS National Coordinator: Role Description and responsibilities
The ‘National Coordinators’ (NCs) represent the EAS at national level. They support music education activities and initiatives in their countries and they communicate these activities at the European level. They may cooperate in this with other representatives of the EAS, primarily with the EAS board members and with the NCs of the other countries.

Only 30 days left until our next EAS-Conference in Jelgava/Latvia will open the doors. The 26th EAS Conference will take place from 14th to 17th March, 2018. Open Call for Position of 2nd Staff Member of the EAS Doctoral Student Forum (DSF)
The position of the 2nd Staff Member for the DSF is available for the period 2019-2023 (work relating to the EAS conferences of 2020 to 2023). The person selected will be expected to work with Isolde Malmberg (DE) then take on the DSF Lead position for the conferences of 2022 & 2023.
