Niels-Græsholm

Niels Græsholm has taught music in all sectors of Danish music education – from kindergarten to music conservatories. He holds a degree in music education from the Royal Danish Academy of Music, has studied jazz and Latinamerican music at City College of New York and holds a diploma of choral conducting from the Academy of Music and Drama, Gothenburg, Sweden.

At present he is associate professor of choral conducting at the University of Copenhagen and a busy conductor and instructor at choral festivals around the world.

For 21 years he held the position of music school consultant for the Danish Ministry of Culture and Arts Foundation – now he works as conductor, composer and arranger and as head of a school for 28 adult choirs in the Danish capital.

Niels Græsholm is presently the president of the Danish Choral Directors Association and of Nordisk Korforum. He is on the board of IFCM (International Federation for Choral Music), EMC (European Music Council), Voice Forum Öresund and is a member of the Danish Network for Music Education, Research and Development.
