2 positions of Staff Member for the SF are available. The position is usually for a period of approximately 4 years, although this can vary. The people selected will take on the role sometime after the Vienna conference April 2026 either for the 2027 or for the 2028 conference. This will be decided in discussion with the successful candidates.

Key Criteria for Selection
- Must have been an active member of the EAS member for at least 2 years;
- Must have already been involved in working with trainee music teachers;
- Must have experience of work with an international dimension;
- Must be concerned to enable the ‘student voice’;
- Must be involved in academic/research work related to music teacher education.
Secondary Criteria for Selection
- Geographical spread: preferably having one staff member from a ‘Western’ and one from an ‘Eastern’ country;
- Experience across differing school age ranges.

The selection will be made by the EAS Board.
