Maria Tsaliki
is a certified Music Teacher with over 15 years of experience across primary and higher education. Based in Thessaloniki, Greece, she holds a PhD in Music Pedagogy from the University of Macedonia, where she also completed her postgraduate studies in Music Arts (specialization in Music Didactics) with distinction and a university scholarship for academic excellence.
Since 2009, she has served as a Music Educator in primary schools, where she has founded and directed student orchestras and choirs, implemented European programs (eTwinning), and collaborated as a judge with the European School Radio. In parallel, she has been actively involved in university teaching at the Department of Music Science and Art, University of Macedonia, covering courses in Music Pedagogy, Research Methodology, and Piano Skills.
Maria’s research and scholarly work spans music education, curriculum studies, music psychology, and the integration of technology in music teaching. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and collective volumes, and has presented her work at international and Greek conferences, including the EAS Conference in Belgrade (2022).
She has also contributed to translation projects in the field of Critical Music Education. Since 2001, she also works part-time as a piano instructor. As a performer she is active in piano recitals, accompaniment and chamber music.
