
Mark Aitchison
Mark currently works as a part-time lecturer of Music Education at the University of Reading, preparing generalist and specialist teachers for the Music Classroom. Mark has spent 25 as a classroom teacher across the primary and secondary phases and continues to teach Music at a High School in England. Mark is also a principal moderator for a national Performing Arts qualification and is the honorary treasurer of the UK’s Music Teacher’s Association. Mark is freelance violist and plays for orchestras across the UK, he founded and continues to direct Tewkesbury Camerata and runs 3 community choirs. Mark is also a doctoral student at the University of Reading, with his study focusing on the student’s experiences of KS3 the Music Curriculum.
