The position of EAS Staff Member for the DSF is available until 2027 (work relating to the EAS conferences of 2025 to 2027).
The person selected will be expected to:
- Work with and shadow current DSF Leads Andreas Lehmann-Wermser and Eva-Maria Tralle (DE) in 2025, in preparation for and during the EAS 2025 conference.
- Continue as DSF Staff Member throughout the 2026 and 2027 EAS conferences.
- Take the role of DSF Lead for a further two years (2028-2029 EAS conferences).

Key Criteria for Selection
- Must have been an active member of the EAS for at least 2 years;
- Must have already been involved in supervising doctoral students in music education;
- Must have experience of work with an international dimension;
- Must be concerned to enable the ‘doctoral student voice’.
- Should be able to attend the Evora EAS conference 2025 and to develop in advance the Doctoral Student Forum together with the current supervisors.
Secondary Criteria for Selection
- Geographical spread: preferably having staff members from different national scientific communities
- Experience across differing approaches to research (e. g. methodologies)

The closing date for applications has been extended to Friday 31st January 2025.
The selection will be made by the Doctoral Student Forum team together with the EAS Board. Applicants should expect to be notified of the result shortly after the closing date. They should then be involved in preparations for the DSF in Evora in 2025.
