The official European Day of Music in Schools (EuDaMuS) took place on 15 March 2026 (a Sunday). In 2026, we celebrated the fifth edition of EuDaMuS. To mark the occasion, EuDaMuS 2026 was celebrated over five schooldays during EuDaMuS Week, from 9–13 March 2026. The online event took place on Wednesday, 11 March, from 11:00 to 11:30 CET.
The day featured an online kick-off event to launch the sharing of videos showcasing what music education sounds and looks like in schools across Europe, unlocking the voices of many students and their teachers.
When is EuDaMuS 2027?
The official European Day of Music in Schools (EuDaMuS) is 15 March 2027. In 2027 we will celebrate this sixth edition of EuDaMuS.
The online event will take place on Monday 15 March 2027, 11:00-11:30 CET. It will mark the start of the EuDaMuS week: 15-19 March 2027.
During this EuDaMuS week, results of the EuDaMuS activities will be shared on the EuDaMuS 2027 YouTube channel and EAS website.

Why we celebrate EuDaMuS — Our advocacy message
Through the European Day of Music in Schools we celebrate that many children and young people in Europe have music education in their schools. At the same time, we advocate for good quality music education for all children and young people in Europe and beyond.

Let this message be heard by parents, teachers, school managers, policy makers, and everyone that should hear this message. Be an advocate yourself and create public awareness in your school and community.
Tell your colleagues and others in your (online) music education network about this important message and invite them to join the EuDaMuS 2027 celebrations and activities.
